‘Hundreds die’ in India police custody, says rights group report

Nearly 600 people died in police custody in India between 2010 and 2015, says the US-based Human Rights Watch (HRW) in a new report. The rights group said no policeman was convicted for a prisoner’s death in custody during this period. New food labels to group sugars in ingredients list, aid comparison shopping

OTTAWA — New food labelling amendments announced Wednesday by Health Canada are designed to make it easier to compare serving sizes on different products while shopping. With the new labels, Canadians will also be able to tell how much sugar is in a product because the sugar-based ingredients will be grouped together.
