The Duchess of York joined the British royal family in 1986 when she married Prince Andrew, Duke of York, the third of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh’s four children. Together, Sarah and Prince Andrew have two daughters; 31-year-old Princess Beatrice of York who is set to marry Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in May 2020, and 29-year-old Princess Eugenie of York. The Duke and Duchess of York separated in 1992 and made their split official in 1996 when they divorced. 

Sarah famously declined to sign a confidentiality agreement when she and Prince Andrew divorced so she could write about her time in the royal family as a way to earn money. The Duchess of York is still an author today — she’s written mostly children’s books — and has at times been in debt despite receiving funds as part of her divorce settlement. Her newest moneymaker is supposedly a lifestyle brand, according to Mail Online.  

Brand reportedly in the early stages

The Duchess of York’s lifestyle brand is still in the design stages which means it’s likely going to be some time before products are seen in stores and online.

However, thanks to a slideshow presentation seen by Mail Online, we know the line is supposedly called Duchess Inc. The tagline? “Entertainment, Edutainment, and Lifestyle.” 

Duchess Inc. set to have three brands

Within the Duchess of York’s lifestyle company, there are supposedly three brands, all in varying price ranges. The Duchess Collection is the mid-range products deemed “accessible premium” including tea, china, jewelry, fragrances, candles, and jams.

Ginger and Moss is set to be the higher-end of the three made up of wallpaper, textiles, and other homewares. The third, Fergie’s Farm, is a line of organic ready-made foods the Duchess of York plans to sell in grocery stores. 

Duchess of York hopes to sell jewelry on QVC

Expect to see Sarah’s products in U.K. stores but also on the retailer QVC. The Duchess of York’s jewelry collection is expected to include hoop earrings costing $77 USD, pendants going for $64 USD, and, on the higher end, bangle bracelets featuring the words “love,” “hope,” and “faith,” priced at $140

According to the slideshow presentation seen by Mail Online detailing Sarah’s plans for her lifestyle brand, the idea for the bracelet came from a piece of jewelry owned by the duchess. 

“Like any mother, the Duchess of York is incredibly proud of her two daughters and keeps them close to her with a bracelet bearing their name,” the presentation read. “The bracelet has inspired the duchess to create a range bearing the words faith, hope, and love.”

Portion of profits will go to charity

Also in the presentation, it’s said that a yet-to-be-determined portion of the profits would go to charity in line with Sarah’s ‘vision to create a better world founded on realism and empathy.”
