Turkey explosion: Car bomb kills child in Sanliurfa province

A child was killed and at least 15 people injured in a large car bomb blast in a town in southern Turkey, a regional governor says. The explosion targeted a building housing judges and prosecutors in Viransehir, in Sanliurfa province, which borders Syria. State safety laws key to saving kids’ lives in car crashes

Traffic crash death rates for American children vary widely among states, and safety regulations are a major reason why, a new study suggests. Researchers examined 2010-14 federal government data and found that crash deaths among children are 12 times more common in some states than others.
