One of India’s largest non-governmental education organisations, Pratham, has raised more than USD 4 million for providing quality education to underprivileged children in the country.

Pratham is an innovative learning organisation created to improve the quality of education in India.

Here’s what Mangala Mehar, one of the beneficiaries of the organisation’s educational programmes, said:

As reported in PTI, she said, “I had always dreamed of becoming a successful and independent woman. The Pratham course gave me something far greater than the skills to get a job at a fancy hotel. It gave me the motivation and self-confidence to keep moving ahead.”

Stressed upon the importance of educating girls:

In their speech ceremony, at the Chicago fundraiser on September 21, Genpact President and CEO N V “Tiger” Tyagarajan stressed upon the importance of educating girls.
