Finding healthy snacks on the go can be tricky. It’s easy to pick up a bag of chips or a candy bar on the go but they can really only sustain you for an hour or two. Now, Starbucks has the healthy snack game on lock and people can’t seem to get enough of them. They’re called bistro boxes and they’re packed with protein and healthy fats, making them the perfect grab-and-go snack pack.

The ease of picking these boxes up on the go is definitely a draw, but making them yourself has plenty of advantages. For one thing, you can save a lot of money buying these ingredients in bulk! Also, we love giving bistro boxes the meal prep treatment! Make five and keep them on hand for when you’re feeling depleted or don’t have time to fix yourself a proper lunch.

The best part of making your own snack boxes is that you get to decide exactly what goes in them! We chose a healthy balance of healthy fats, fruits and veggies. Almonds are a personal fave but any nut works wonders! We also added baby carrots for crunch, grapes for sweetness, and pickles to satisfy a craving for salt. To round it all out we included a ham and cheese wrap with a handful of spinach and some mustard. It’s too easy!
